Chrissy's art-making process unfolds very organically and is heavily influenced by  life experience, feelings and memories. Her highly textured, mixed media artworks are blended with fabrics, layers and pattern, allowing the artist to process ideas  and create narratives on many angles and levels. 

Much of Chrissy's recent work has been influenced by environmental sustainability and repurposing existing materials in her work; a creative process she believes involves an element of alchemy.
